HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC109
These semi-rigid thermocouples are ideal for all applications from simple temperature measurements to more arduous environments. They have insulated junctions to prevent earth loops and can be formed to shape to suit particular applications without impairing performance. Thermocouples are incorporated with connecting plugs. Compatible thermocouple sockets, extension cables, and adjustable compression fittings are available upon request.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC2
Metal Sheath Thermocouples are available with 10mmØ or 12mmØ, with general-purpose connection heads. Inside the head is a ceramic terminal block which makes the connections to the extension cables very easy. The sensors can be supplied as a simplex, duplex, or with an optional 4 to 20 is the transmitter. The Go-insulated thermocouple assemblies are offered in a variety of thermocouple calibrations, sheath diameters, and sheath materials.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC3
Industrial Screw-in metal sheath thermocouples are the preferred choice for measuring temperature in liquids and gasses for light industrial application. An important factor for selecting these thermocouples is their ability to form reliable seals for vacuum and high-pressure applications. Protection tubes made of stainless steel protect the measuring insert against chemical influences and mechanical damage.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC4
HTC2 is a heavy-duty Thermocouple sensor that can be used for measuring and regulating exhaust gas from diesel engines, turbines, and compressors within stationary and marine applications. This temperature sensor is specially designed for heavy-duty applications up to 600 °C. All parts in contact with the media are made of stainless steel. The sensor is constructed to fit where there is limited space.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC5
The high temperature and high-pressure thermocouples are suitable in use with temperature measurement in the field with high temperature and pressure such as refinery, high-pressure polyethylene, or marine exhaust gas temperature measurement. These units feature large 8 gauge or 14 gauge thermocouple elements of type J or type K with ceramic insulators and are housed in protection tubes that typically have a wall thickness of schedule 40 or schedule 80. The protection tube can be made of various stainless steel or nickel alloys depending on the specific application service requirements. Termination of the protection tube assembly is typically a cast iron or cast aluminum screw cover head for enclosure of the thermocouple connections. The thermocouple element can be changed through the removal of the terminal block while

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC6
For processes operating temperature measurement to 1600ºC (2912ºF) in kilns, furnaces, flues, etc. Available in thermocouple types K and J with an impervious aluminous porcelain sheath or type S and R with an impervious recrystallized alumina sheath, construction includes a 100mm (4”) long stainless steel support tube attached to a weatherproof connection head. Varies of ceramic material sheaths are available. Most refractory ceramic products can be used only in high-temperature applications where one or two of the following properties are required: thermal shock resistant, mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, or electrical insulation.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC7
Angle thermocouple assemblies are most commonly used in general process applications requiring the use of “over-the-side” temperature sensors with various metal-alloy or ceramic protection tubes.

HOTTEMP Thermocouple Type HTC9
Sanitary Thermocouple Sensors are designed for use in Sanitary or Hygienic Clean-in-Place applications in the Food, Dairy, Beverage, and Bio-Pharmaceutical industries. Temperature probes can be built with terminal heads out of stainless steel, aluminum die-casting, or plastic. Various process connections are available to meet the different requirements of individual food/pharmaceutical sectors. The protection tubes are made of stainless steel 316L. Optional analog or programmable 2-wire transmitters can be used for longer transmission distances.

JIS Standard Thermocouple Cable
What is Thermocouple Wire?
A thermocouple cable or extension grade cable is recommended to be used to connect thermocouples to the sensing or control instrumentation. The conditions of measurement determine the type of thermocouple cable and insulation to be used. Temperature range, environment, insulation requirements, response, and service life should be considered.
Wire Size of Thermocouple: Selecting the wire size used in the thermocouple sensor depends upon the application. Generally, when longer life is required for the higher temperatures, the larger size wires should be chosen. When sensitivity is the prime concern, smaller sizes should be used.
Thermocouple Colour Codes: Thermocouple wiring is colour coded by thermocouple types. Different countries utilize different colour coding. Jacket colouring is sometimes a coloured stripe instead of a solid colour as shown.
