HOTTEMP RTD Sensor Type PTC1
Mineral Insulated RTD Sensors are made of a flexible, thin-walled insulated cable, in which the resistance wires are embedded in compressed fire-resistant magnesium oxide. The good thermal transfer between the casing and the RTD sensing bulb enables short response times and excellent measuring accuracy. The vibration-resistant design guarantees long operating life. The smallest bending radius is 5 times the outer diameter. With a diameter of 2.0 to 8.0 mm, the insertion length (IL) is ≥ 100 mm. Duplex versions is also available.

HOTTEMP RTD Sensor Type PTC101
All types of RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensors are made from Platinum. The Pt100 sensor has a resistance of 100 ohms at 0°C and is by far the most common type of RTD sensor. The Pt50 sensor has a resistance of 50 ohms at 0°C and the Pt1000 has 1000 ohms resistance at 0°C. These sensors are normally fitted into some type of protective sheath or mounting to form a probe, and these are commonly referred to as RTD elements.
The Thin-Film Type platinum is deposited on a ceramic substrate, than coated with glass. The sensitive element is extended by radial leads. The Thin-Film sensor can be integrated in different designs of probes for dry environments only.
The Ceramic Wire Wounded Type platinum elements are made by placing a coiled platinum wire into a ceramic core and sealing the ends off with glass. They are suitable for extremely low or high temperatures, and are tolerant of thermal shocks. They offer limited vibration resistance (depending on mounting method) and should be used in dry environments only.

HOTTEMP RTD Sensor Type PTC109
These semi-rigid RTD sensors are ideal for all applications from simple temperature measurement to more arduous environments. Mineral Insulated can be formed shape to suit particular applications without impairing performance. RTD sensors are incorporated with connecting plugs. Compatible RTD sockets, extension cables and adjustable compression fittings is available upon request.

HOTTEMP RTD Sensor Type PTC2
Metal Sheath RTD sensors are available with 10mmØ or 12mmØ, with general-purpose connection heads. Inside the head is a ceramic terminal block which makes the connections to the extension cables very easy. The sensors can be supplied as a simplex, duplex, or with an optional 4 to 20 mA transmitter. The MgO-insulated RTD sensor assemblies are offered in a variety of calibrations, PT100, PT50 or PT1000, sheath diameters, and sheath materials.
