cartridge heater 6x40x220vx100w
A cartridge heater is a tube-shaped, heavy-duty, industrial element used in the process heating industry, usually custom manufactured to a specific watt density, based on its intended application. Compact designs are capable of reaching a watt density of up to 50W/cm² while some specialty high-temperature designs can reach 100w/cm².
Cartridge heaters are found useful in many applications, such as:
- Seal bars
- Torpedo heaters for injection molding
- Injection molding manifolds
- Mass spectrometry
- Rubber molding
- Food production
- Immersion tank heating
- HVAC compressors
- Fuel cells
- Semiconductors
- Medical devices
- Sensor measurement devices
- Extrusion
- Die casting
- Hot melt adhesives
- Heat staking/hole punch
- Plastic welding
- Fluid heating
- 3DPrinters
The sheath is the part of the cartridge heater which makes contact with the material or substance to be heated. Several metal alloys are used, depending on the type of application, such as highly acidic or corrosive environments. The most common types of sheaths are 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, and Incoloy 800. Incoloy has the highest temperature rating and is considered a super rolly.

Float Level – Accessories
MAGNETIC FLOAT Ball is used to actuate the reed switch contact point to create an open or close circuit by an internal magnet. Rugged construction and multiple options for materials from engineering plastics as NBR & PP, and stainless steels as SUS316, floats can be applied to versatile applications in chemical corrosion of acidity and alkalinity liquid, solvents, or oil fuels.
REED SWITCH switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It consists of a pair of contacts on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contacts may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present, or normally closed and opening when a magnetic field is applied. The switch may be actuated by a magnet near the switch. Once the magnet is pulled away from the switch, the reed switch will go back to its original position.
TERMINAL ENCLOSURE provides the means for making the connection between the sensing point by protecting the connection against corrosion, abrasion, and breakage caused by handling. Terminal enclosures are easy to install and are convenient for checking purposes. An outlet for conduct connection is provided with a selection of threaded outlet sizes for the protection tube.
